Understanding the most authentic quality of each yarn. Enhancing its value in its entirety. Focusing on its original form, thus highlighting its intrinsic strength. The Spring/Summer 2019 collection by Tollegno 1900 is more than just a declaration of love for the “physical” and “material” nature of yarns broken down into the purest variants (100% Cashmere, 100% Ultrafine and Extrafine Merino Wool) and blends (silk, viscose, linen, cotton), but also an accolade for simplification. A clear expression of this feeling is the One collection. The spearheads of the Luxury collection are married with the excellence of the Classic line to create a “one collection” that celebrates the best yarns of the Tollegno 1900 tradition. “Woolcot” and the brand new “Cottonwool” whose rugged look is contrasted by its soft touch, where the consistency of the yarn is mitigated by its pleasant feel and “Flaxwool” whose medium-lightweight wearability, soft or rough texture depending on the type of workmanship and dedicated colour chart (36), completes the Tollegno 1900 range for 2019. The Collection for the s/s 2019 season doesn’t forget the #24hoursworkandleisure Performance collection. Versatile, comfortable, perfect for both activewear and underwear thanks to the characteristics of the merino wool itself (high thermal insulation, maximum elasticity, high absorption capacity, antibacterial and hypo-allergenic actions), the best performing yarns of this Biella-based company combine naturalness with technological innovation, without ever compromising on comfort, resilience and practicality. A special mention therefore for “Sixtywool”, “Easily”, “Cooper” and “Abarth”, but also “Wooltech Total Easy Care” and “Harmony Idro”. Made in 100% Extrafine Merino Wool, this yarn developed by the Tollegno 1900 research lab uses a special Teflon fabric protector film to create an invisible barrier on each of the fibres, thus protecting all garments against water and grease stains.
Finally, completing the Tollegno 1900 mosaic for the summer season is a “nonpareil” collection designed for the “jersey-addicted” (already presented at Filo), also ideal for the hanging accessories of runway and on-the-road fashion trends, where colour takes the lion’s share. 36 colours of “middle” intensity yet with a pasty consistency, primitive in their perception and vigorous in their naturalness: even the traditionally fashionable tones of the Trends chart bow to the laws of #backtobasics, opting for the asperity and compactness of full nuances over regularity and the perfection-effect. Nothing lavish, sobriety first is the chosen approach, creating a fil rouge with the proposals of the “Colors” chart, a theatre stage for seasonless tones such as sand, cream, beige, butter.
