Yarns destined to products for jersey and Merino Wool are the protagonists of the autumn/winter 2019/20 Tollegno 1900 collection presented at Filo 2018 (Palazzo delle Stelline, 21/22 February – stand B9). Under the aegis of the manifesto for sustainability “TOLLEGNO 1900 yarns: the world through our eyes,” the Biella-based company proposes a Jersey Book broken down into its three iconic collections, “Luxury”, “Classic” and “Performance”, giving the nod to the world of clothing and furniture accessories. Interpreting this new trend for the “Luxury” line are flagship yarns such as “Charme” and “New Royal” and new proposals such as “Flaxwool” (Extrafine Merino Wool and linen) with unequalled qualities of climatic and thermal adaptability. The protagonist of the “Classic” collection on the other hand is the Harmony universe, from its basic version (Extrafine Merino Wool 2/30 and 2/48) up to the higher impact variants such as “Harmony NT”, where the boiled wool effect is perfect for the manufacture of clothing and accessories, and “Harmony J” proposed in 60 different colour variants. The “Performance #24hourworkandleisure” line on the other hand focuses on the mix between Merino Wool (in its entire range of microns) and silicone-Nylon or Tencel, combining naturalness and technological innovation without compromising on comfort, resistance and practicality. Alongside “Montreal”, “Pagoda”, “Phantom”, “Corvette” and “Sixtywool”, Tollegno 1900 makes room for “Cooper” and “Abarth” in the new jersey version and for “Harmony Idro”. The 100% Extrafine Merino Wool yarn developed by the Tollegno 1900 Research Laboratory and usable on all types of threads, has what it takes to meet the demands of the winter season. In fact, it uses a specific Teflon fabric protector film, which creates an invisible barrier on each fibre, able to protect against water.
