Under the aegis of “TOLLEGNO 1900 yarns: the world through our eyes” – the Manifesto for sustainability expressing the deep, continuous and long-term commitment of Tollegno 1900 toward people and the environment through the knowledgeable selection of materials and processes, with the sole objective of contributing to living and building a better world – at Filo 2018 (Palazzo delle Stelline, 21/22 February, Stand B9) this Biella-based company presents its interpretation of autumn/winter 2019/20.
A Jersey Book broken down into the three iconic collections, “Luxury”, “Classic” and “Performance” defines the guidelines of the proposal for the next winter season, giving the nod to the world of clothing and furniture accessories. Merino Wool, enriched by its characteristics of practicality and design, and mixes with superior yarns (cashmere and silk) and high-performance yarns (silicon-Nylon and Tencel), in fact opens up to new uses, giving space to creativity and experimentation.Interpreting this new trend in the “Luxury” line are both yarns that have contributed to defining the company’s identity such as “Charme” and “NewRoyal”, and new proposals such as “Flaxwool” (Extrafine Merino Wool and linen), where the climatic and thermal adaptability innate to linen, a soft or rough consistency depending on the type of workmanship, and a dedicated colour chart (36) are its best features.Colours that are also the protagonists of the “Classic” collection thanks to 60 different shades developed for “Harmony J”, where clearly male nuances are accosted by more delicate shades inspired by the female world and sensitivity. Completing the Tollegno 1900 “evergreen” line are all the yarns forming part of the “Harmony” universe, from its basic version (Extrafine Merino Wool 2/30 and 2/48) up to the higher impact variants such as “Harmony NT”, whose boiled wool effect makes it perfect for the manufacture of clothing and accessories. The “Performance #24hourworkandleisure” line on the other hand focuses on the mix between Merino Wool (in its entire range of microns) and silicone-Nylon or Tencel, combining naturalness and technological innovation without compromising on comfort, resistance and practicality. Alongside “Montreal”, “Pagoda”, “Phantom”, “Corvette” and “Sixtywool”, Tollegno 1900 proposes “Cooper” and “Abarth” in the new jersey variant and “Harmony Idro”. The 100% Extrafine Merino Wool yarn developed by the Tollegno 1900 Research Laboratory and usable on all types of threads, has what it takes to meet the demands of the winter season. In fact, it uses a specific Teflon fabric protector film, which creates an invisible barrier on each fibre, able to protect against water.
