Rothy’s shoes are known all over the world for being stylish, comfortable, sustainable and machine washable. The company has developed a cutting-edge technology to transform recycled plastic water bottles into beautiful shoes using a zero-waste production process. Rothy’s is debuting a special capsule collection designed by Italian designer Marta Ferri made with merino wool from Tollegno 1900, very renowned for the high-quality and extremely fine yarns and for the sustainable process approach.
Tollegno’s tradition, Rothy’s innovative technology and Marta’s design talent come together in a beautiful new capsule collection.
I played with the color scheme and found inspiration in the Tollegno 1900 Archives – Marta Ferri said -. It was really special to see the story, the life of the company and of the people, the books from the archives inspired my collection.”
The long history of Tollegno 1900 is kept in the company’s vast Historical Archive, the world’s most complete collection in the textile-wool sector, which immortalizes the industrial history of Italian costume and fashion.
Marta Ferri drew inspiration for her collection from the book “Estate 1965”, which will be brought out of Tollegno specifically for the capsule-launching event at 10 Corso Como.
