2025 is a year of celebrations for Tollegno 1900 and Lana Gatto, who are celebrating their 125th anniversary. This milestone is one the two brands dedicate not only to their internal staff and collaborators, but also to the local community in which they are an active part.
To highlight the strong bond between the two brands and their local area, the company, in collaboration with Lanificio di Tollegno/3DWOOL, organized the event “Tollegno 1900: 125 years of Italian excellence,” which was attended by its employees and their families, collaborators, and institutions. For one evening, the road connecting the Filatura to the Lanificio was transformed into a community space where people could share stories of the company’s history, meet outside of work, dine together, and celebrate the achievement of a significant milestone. The company, which benefited from the sponsorship of Banca Patrimoni Sella & C., Lauretana, and Menabrea, entrusted the management of its food and beverage operations to another local organization, the Associazione Iniziative Benefiche di Tollegno, which will donate the proceeds to support projects in the local area. This is the area to which both organizations owe their origins and the foundation of the philosophy upon which they have built their way of working.
This awareness is something Tollegno 1900 has shared with all its employees, the company’s primary asset, also through the organization of a continuous training program throughout 2025. The last event took place in early September and saw the entire Filatura e Lana Gatto workforce participate in the “125 Years of Not Losing the Thread” workshop, organized in collaboration with ErgoSum. Structured into four experiential sessions, the training aimed to present and share the company’s mission, vision, and Ethics Charter with all staff, strengthening a sense of belonging and encouraging active discussion.
“Our people,” says Lincoln Germanetti, Chairman of the Board of Directors, “are an invaluable asset and the beating heart of our history. Those who work today at Filatura and Lanificio, those who have dedicated their entire lives to these companies with skill, passion, and creativity, deserve credit for having contributed to the results achieved over these 125 years of history. This history began with a small dream and grew thanks to the dedication of generations of women and men who believed in the value of our work, always looking forward and refusing to be defeated by the momentous transformations we have faced over the decades. To all of them and their families, who have supported them, we extend our deepest thanks. Thanks to them, we have gone from a large start-up in Tollegno to the solid reality we are today.”
