From April 11th to 19th, Biella celebrates Made in Italy with a week of events centered on business, art, and sustainability. Water will be the theme of this edition. Among the Biella events are the UIb meeting on industrial supply chains, the Giro d'Impresa Biella, and the exhibition "The Essence of Beauty: Dialogues between Art, Manufacturing, and Taste."

Confirming its strong connection with the local area, Filatura di Tollegno is participating in one of the events organized by the city of Biella on the occasion of National Made in Italy Day, an initiative sponsored by the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy, which focuses on manufacturing excellence, sustainability, and local culture. Tollegno 1900 yarns contributed to the creation of the work “La Sovrana dell’Acqua,” created with fabrics and yarns from various Biella textile companies. It is a tangible symbol of how the element of water has united spinning, weaving, and dyeing in an unbreakable embrace. The installation, part of the exhibition “L’Essence del Bellezza: Dialogues between Art, Manufacturing, and Taste,” open to the public over several days (April 11-12 and 17-18-19), is just one of the events taking place during the exhibition promoted by the Municipality of Biella through the Department of Productive Activities, led by Anna Pisani, and coordinated by project manager Rita Mancini. Sponsored by the Piedmont Region, the initiative, which was developed in collaboration with the Biella Industrial Union, Città Studi Biella, the Sella Foundation, Its Academy, Tam Sistema Moda Biella, CNA and Confartigianato, and the Accademia del Teatro alla Scala, has chosen the theme “Water and Sustainability: The Soul of Water and the Excellence of Sustainability” as its guiding thread.

The events

The event will open in the city on April 11th at 5:00 pm at the Lanificio Maurizio Sella with the inaugural convention “The Soul of Water: Where Excellence Becomes Art,” a moment of discussion between leaders from the business, academic, and creative worlds on the themes of sustainability and innovation.
