On the second floor of the ancient Tomassini palace, former Bourbon del Monte, in CittĂ di Castello (Pg), there is the “Museo della tela umbra” divided into 9 rooms in which textile creations, yarns, vintage looms, lace, lace and various types of weaving tools. A particular space recreates a typical classroom of the rural schools founded by Alice and Leopoldo Franchetti in Montesca in 1901 and in Rovigliano in 1902. The visit itinerary, however, is only one of the initiatives proposed by the Museum which is the subject of a new redevelopment and expansion project to give the community the opportunity to experience the rooms and the palace, through cultural, artistic and recreational initiatives.
