Coldharbour Mill, built between 1797 and 1799 as the first spinning mill of the Fox brothers in the south-west. Conserved inside are a collection of Victorian spinning machines for the worsted process and some Hattersley looms that are still in use to weave yarns for knitwear, tartan fabrics, carpets. The visitor can see up close all the phases that lead to the creation of the precious wool yarn. Also of value are the Breast Shot water wheel that, dating back to 1821, has been restored to working condition, the 19th century steam engines and the Lancashire boilers.
