An industrial museum located in the heart of the Eastern Townships, the Ulverton Wool Mill reconstructs the history of wool production in Quebec. Dating back to 1840, the mill, recognized as a historical heritage by the government of the country, following its restoration has seen the resumption of operation of many of its machines including carding machines, spinning machines, shredding machines and looms. The purpose of the Museum is in fact to preserve, study and interpret the cultural heritage of the Ulverton Wool Mill site to promote its historical, architectural and technological value, through educational and cultural initiatives and the enhancement of the natural and rural environment in which the mill operated.
