A symbolic tour around some of Europe’s most renowned cities is the beating heart of Gatto brand's “Fashion” proposal, with its “Atelier” line featuring names of typical Italian, French and Austrian sweets as the common thread. A “gourmet” journey that enhances the value of craftiness and celebrates the uniqueness, also expressed by “Anniversary”, a limited edition to celebrate the brand's 125th anniversary.

Its “Anniversary” time for Lana Gatto celebrating its first 125 years with a “limited edition” extra luxury (64% ultrafine merino wool, 20% silk and 16% cashmere) yarn which blends product quality and the craftiness behind its processing. Unveiled with 6 shades only, ranging between classic nuances and colours typical of seasonal trends, “Anniversary” actually comes with exclusively hand-printed skeins. An “unicum” that plays a key role in the 25/26 A/W COLLECTION , perfect blend of urban style – represented by the “Fashion” line – and gourmet passion, enshrined in the “Atelier” line.

Sweetness on the skin: the “Atelier” delicatessen.

The “Atelier” line is a succession of 5 yarns inspired by the world of “sweets”. “Eclaire” (owing its ultra-luminous printed yarn to the introduction of scores of paillettes), “Saint Honorè”, “Sacher” (mohair, alpaca and polyamide with multi-coloured micro-paillettes), “Tiramisù” (wool, mohair, alpaca and cotton with stripped effect) and “Crumble”, inspired by some of Europe’s typical sweets, are transformed into prestigious yarns to be used for making evening attire and accessories.

From one capital to the other: urban mood for “Fashion”

On the other hand, the “Fashion collection is the casual and urban heart featuring 8 yarns bearing names of some of Europe’s main capitals. A “natural” journey that begins in “Lisbon” – spray-printed flamed yarn made up of 50% extra-fine wool and 50% cotton – continues to “Madrid” (twisted yarn made up of 80% fine merino wool and 20% silk with multi-colour effect), “Budapest” (a wool wick made up of 100% super light merino wool) all the way to “Vienna”. The Austrian capital cherished by Princess Sissi is recounted by a treble made of extra-fine merino wool and baby alpaca which, being ultra-soft and given its captivating blurred nuances, is also easy to maintain (washable in washer). The “Fashion” line journey is completed by other fascinating towns such as “Rome”, “Oslo”, “Paris” and “Dublin”, at the centre-stage of next autumn/winter trends/fashion. A season featuring the range of violet, blue/bluette and earth colours as its colour scheme.

Novelty for the “Luxury” and “Classic” stock service line too

These are nature-inspired nuances distinguishing two new proposals under stock service: “Aria” and “Naturalpaca”.  While “Aria”, made up of 50% extra-fine merino wool and 50% baby alpaca, offers plenty of lightness, softness, fluffiness and vaporosity ideal for lightweight super warm oversize sweaters and pullovers , “Naturalpaca” (46% alpaca, 32% wool and 22% cotton) is green by nature. Besides the fibres it is made of, its essence of dyes also contribute to making it a fully natural product given that the range of colours it comes with is obtained using the natural shades typical of Alpaca (greys, browns, beiges).
