Not just wool, cotton and linen: among natural fibres, there are also others that little is known about despite being widely used.

It is called “Sisal” and is one of the most used natural fibers for the production of carpets and ropes, but also baskets and furnishing accessories due to its extreme resistance. Extracted from the sisalana agave native to Yucatan, it owes its name to a port near MĂ©rida from where large quantities of this fiber set off towards the most varied destinations.
