Discovering artists who have made the noble yarn one of the interpreters of their creativity

Born in 1982 and of Italian-French origins, Thomas De Falco often uses wool, cotton and other yarns for his performances and installations. From their expert interweaving, works of art take shape such as textile sculptures, original tableaux vivants and tapestries inspired by the ancient art of weaving with a vertical loom. Using the “wrapping” technique, based on the use of wool thistles combined manually, the artist, who is based in Paris, celebrates the noble yarn by varying its thickness and interweaving so as to give life to “unicums” that take inspiration from nature, feelings and human emotions.
