The 10 finalists of the 2023 edition of the Contest created and promoted by Feel the Yarn® come from different countries (China, Japan, France, Spain, America, among others) and share a passion for the world of knitwear. Called to create garments that make “people” as their inspiration, the designers, combined with spinning mills of the brand under whose aegis all the initiatives of the Consorzio Promozione Filati – CPF fall, now access the final phase of the competition thanks to the votes collected online. Indeed, after showing their outfits and “telling” the steps of their experience on the “FTY for New Designers” group and on their Instagram pages, the young creatives met their followers, insiders and knit lovers on a page specifically dedicated to the competition on the feeltheyarn.it site, where you can express your preference for the participants’ creations.
Based on the numbers collected online, 15,500 preferences were given in the three days dedicated to voting, to access the final phase of the “Contest”, which will be held during Pitti Immagine Filati in June, are:

For the 2023 edition, there are also multiple awards for all the finalists, whose garments will be the protagonists of professional shootings published in the number #10 of the magazine “Trend Magazine Feel the Yarn” entitled “Unconventional”, dedicated to FW 24.25, created by Elisabetta Scarpini and due out at the end of June. But not only. In fact, all the designers will also have the opportunity to give visibility to their outfits through the Feel the Yarn® communication channels, and to exhibit them during Pitti Filati #93 on 28, 29 and 30 June next. During the fair, each creative will also have the opportunity to introduce themselves personally, outlining their training path, the guidelines that identify their style and career goals.
“The “Contest” – explains Alberto Enoch, President of the Consorzio Promozione Filati – CPF – confirms itself as a valid opportunity for designers from all over the world, a channel in which to experiment with the skills acquired during the training course, and above all a comparison with other talents, generating that virtuous circle of creativity. The Competition also has the great merit of shortening the distance between school, its training and the world of work. The connection between students and companies creates that functional collaboration useful for both parties, in fact the task of Feel The Yarn® is precisely to encourage opportunities for contamination and comparison to open up new paths both for growth for designers and for development for businesses”.
