The animals from which wool is obtained are not only sheep. In many regions of the world, its production depends on the availability of livestock and the purpose for which the weaving of the raw fiber is intended. In general, wool can be obtained from the shearing of Angora Goat (Turkey, South Africa, United States) from which mohair wool is obtained, Cashmere Goat (Tibet, India, China, Iran, Afghanistan), Lama Alpaca (Andes), Lama Vicuna (Peruvian Andes), Camel (Asia and Africa), Rabbit (Angora) and Dromedary.
