Curiosities and unusual information to get to know the world of wool and appreciate one of the most precious fibers of all time

The term pure virgin wool means that the garment in question was made from organic fibers certified Woolmark, a quality mark adopted in 1964 by the International Wool Secretariat.

The adjective ‘virgin’ refers to the fact that the yarn used is shearing wool, thus natural, not regenerated or recovered from the waste of other processes. Woolmark certification thus gives the guarantee of pure organic virgin wool.
