Rothy’s launches its first collection using Tollegno 1900 Merino wool which includes a limited edition by Marta Ferri, presented in an exclusive preview in Milan in 10 Corso Como. The footwear produced by Rothy’s, recognised worldwide for being elegant, comfortable, sustainable and machine-washable, makes use of cutting-edge technology in its production which transforms plastic water bottles into shoes, using a production process with zero waste. For this new collection, the American brand chose our wool for the quality and sustainability of our production processes. An original and one-of-a-kind capsule collection is the result of the encounter between our tradition, the innovation of Rothy’s and the stylistic talent of Marta Ferri. “I played with the colour combination,” Marta tells us, “and I found excellent creative support in the Tollegno 1900 “Historical Archive”. It was very special to see the history, life of the company and the people: the books have inspired my collection”. The designer took some ideas for her collection from the “Summer 1965” volume which was taken out of our Historical Archive especially for the capsule launch event and fitted perfectly into the spectacular layout designed and curated by the stylist.
