Also for the current year, the company takes part in the fourteenth edition of the competition launched by Feel the Yarn® which has the theme "People".

The collaboration between Tollegno 1900 and Feel the Yarn® continues, under whose aegis all the initiatives promoted by the Consorzio Promozione Filati – CPF fall. Also for the current year, the company adheres to “Feel The Contest” which, after last season’s “green” theme, is now focusing on “people”. A total of 95 designers of various nationalities and aged between 22 and 35 entered the competition. “The most deserving will be selected and combined with as many partner spinning mills of Feel the Yarn® which will allow the creation of two knit outfits”, explain the organization.

The second step instead promotes the web as its main channel. In fact, the young creatives will face each other online: their creations will in fact be submitted to a vote in the month of May, by connecting to a page specifically dedicated to the competition on the feeltheyarn.it website, where the individual mood boards will also be presented. The Facebook group “FTY for New Designers”, also for this edition, confirms its vocation as a digital square, where participants will be able not only to show their outfits, but also to share the steps of their experience.

The first 10 who will receive the highest number of votes will enter the next phase of the “Contest”, while the absolute winner will be decreed by a jury made up of recognized professionals in the sector, during the summer edition of Pitti Filati.

Multiple awards that will be attributed to all 10 finalists, including the opportunity to see their garments protagonists of professional shootings that will be published in the number #10 dedicated to the FW 24.25 collection of the magazine “Trend Magazine Feel the Yarn”, out in mid June; the opportunity to give further visibility to their outfits by being relaunched by Feel the Yarn® communication channels and the chance to exhibit them during a worldwide event dedicated to the FW 24/25 collections. The absolute winner, also availing himself of the consultancy of Camera Showroom of Milan (CSM), which will also take care of the distribution, will be able to create his own capsule collection*, mainly in knitwear, for the autumn/winter 24/25 season made with the materials supplied by some of Feel the Yarn®’s partner spinning mills.

From this point of view, the “Contest” is a springboard from which to take the first leap in building one’s career. A career that can also count on the benefits offered by the great visibility provided by the communication channels made available by Feel the Yarn®”. In this direction, to have positive effects in terms of image and presence in the media, are also the partner spinning mills of the project who can count on further added values. “We believe that the Contest is a sort of experimentation platform, in which designers, spinning mills and knitwear factories meet, compare and produce value.”
