Our Harmony yarn was chosen to make the blankets which wrapped up the newest arrivals in the Windsor family, both of William and Kate, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and the latest arrival Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, son of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The fabulous 100% extrafine merino wool was, in fact, used by G.H. Hurt & Son Ltd – an UK Nottingham-based firm specialised in the production of top-quality shawls, blankets and scarves – to create a “Leaves and Flowers Baby Shawl”, consisting of two separate knitted pieces, then finished by hand and joined with an attractive scalloped shell edging on all four sides. What colour? Pure white. An acknowledgement of the quality of our yarns and confirmation of the relationship of trust established with the Nottingham-based firm, which has been our customer for many years.
