From the collaboration between The Woolmark Company, Shima Seiki Italia, Vittorio Branchizio and 4 leading players in the yarn sector, including Tollegno 1900, a new capsule collection takes shape that makes Merino wool, combined with technical materials, the main interpreter

Four outfits that highlight the extreme versatility of Merino wool also to create high-performance garments suitable for a modern and urban, practical and multifunctional look: this is the project that saw Tollegno 1900 again alongside The Woolmark Company and Shima Seiki Italia. The concept of the capsule collection, in which the latest Shima Seiki “made in” knitwear technologies marry Woolmark certified Merino wool yarns, makes “Protection Wear” as inspiration, which Tollegno 1900 has declined in a hooded sweatshirt and reversible trousers.

The two garments were made with Harmony 4.0, NM 2/48 with high twist, the company’s iconic yarn characterized by superior softness, high elasticity, minimum hairiness and pilling and water resistance. While the sweatshirt was knitted on a Shima Seiki WHOLEGARMENT® flat knit machine, which allows the combination of wool and technical yarn, for the trousers was used the SRY flat knit machine which uses lay technology, ideal for provide a more compact fabric. The total look, machine washable and suitable for the tumble test, was premiered at Milano Unica.
