The brand alongside artist Francesca Fiaschi at the Florentine event, which kicks off on October 18th.

A carpet made partly of Japanese paper and partly of Harmony 2/30: this is the work that artist Francesca Fiaschi will present at the 15th Biennale of Contemporary Art, held at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence, starting October 18th. The carpet, produced by Benso 1968 of Turin, which Tollegno 1900 supplied with the yarn, is part of the event’s theme, Zones of Ambiguity – Colors and Altered Perception, dedicated to dualism, understood as a creative confrontation between opposing and complementary forces. Created with mixed techniques on paper and fabric using inks and pigments, the work aims to explore how material and color influence visual perception. The research unfolds around visual and tactile contrasts such as the juxtapositions of light and dark, hot and cold, smooth and rough, considered not as rigid categories, but as qualities that coexist in the same composition. Born from a journey begun in Montreal, where the artist began investigating the altered perception of color, particularly through the study of color blindness, the project highlights the essence of color as a structuring element of the image, and not as mere decoration.

A symbolic tour around some of Europe’s most renowned cities is the beating heart of Gatto brand's “Fashion” proposal, with its “Atelier” line featuring names of typical Italian, French and Austrian sweets as the common thread. A “gourmet” journey that enhances the value of craftiness and celebrates the uniqueness, also expressed by “Anniversary”, a limited edition to celebrate the brand's 125th anniversary.
From the interweaving of willow, unique works are born which, in addition to giving a touch of originality to the interior design, find their natural place … in nature.
The initiative, presented on the occasion of Milan Design Week 2024, was created by Guardini Ciuffreda Studio in collaboration with Kornit Digital.
