What does he do, what are his skills, and what training is required for this job?

Responsible for the maintenance, repair, and adjustment of textile looms, ensuring their proper functioning, the “textile mechanic,” sometimes called the “loom master,” is a key figure in weaving mills. He or she prepares the loom for the weaving process, adjusts it, and performs both routine and extraordinary maintenance. His or her duties include inserting yarns, checking fabric quality, programming and maintaining machinery, and manually troubleshooting any problems during weaving.
